The Story
Soft things,
made hard
The bear is the slow part. He is built from two colours of resin — a pale body pinched into shape, then a hot pink jumper laid over it — and his face is three dots and a curve, applied with a needle under a loupe. Set the eyes a hair too far apart and he looks startled; a hair too close and he looks unwell. He is then cured under lamp until he is genuinely hard, because a soft charm collects everything that a day contains.
There are thirty tips in the coffret and only ten fingers, which is the arrangement we prefer. The thirty run through a full ladder of widths, so the shimmer meets your sidewalls cleanly instead of standing proud of them. Wear the bears on both hands, or save them for the days that need them; the twenty you set aside are the next manicure, the emergency replacement and — most often, in our experience — the ones a friend quietly takes home.
Thirty small comforts, ten at a time.
