Where our hands learned
ManiKIRA's craft is built on 日本式 — the Japanese salon tradition of Tokyo and Ginza, where nail art is treated as a fine craft: pigments ground fine, gel laid in translucent layers, ornament set under magnification, and patience regarded as a technique in itself.
Our artisans train in that discipline — Japanese-grade gels, Japanese brushwork, the layering method that gives depth no printed nail can imitate. Where a factory prints an image of amber, we build amber: glaze over glaze, cured between coats, until light moves inside the surface.
Twelve layers, one tip
Base, art layers, ornament, and a triple-milled gel top coat cured in three passes. Up to twelve hand-applied layers on a canvas twenty millimetres wide.
One artisan, start to finish
No production line. The artisan who primes your set crafts, sets, seals and inspects it. Every detail is checked before the coffret leaves the atelier.
Ornament set by hand
Pearls bedded while gel is tacky, gold leaf torn and burnished through silk, crystals placed with wax tweezers under magnification — never glued in bulk, never printed.
The unveiling
Every set passes a final inspection under a jeweller's loupe. Roughly one sculpted set in three is rejected and recrafted. The ones that pass are the ones you wear.
