The Story
Shadow
on satin
Greige is the colour most brands get wrong: pull it warm and it becomes beige, pull it cool and it becomes grey, and either way it stops being interesting. Ours is mixed to the exact tone of the shadow inside a fold of oyster satin — which means it changes character depending on what is around it, and never twice the same in a photograph.
The fishnet is the hardest linework we do: a diagonal mesh drawn at under a millimetre per cell, over a curved surface, with no room for a wobble. Artisans practise it on glass for a season before it is permitted on a set. Gold frames are then laid to contain the veil — a mesh without an edge, we learned, reads as damage rather than as lace.
Mix greige to a shadow, not to a colour.
