A veil of earth,
drawn in light
Sienna Veil began with a fragment of tortoiseshell found in a Milanese antique atelier — a comb from the 1920s whose amber depths seemed to hold the last hour of an autumn afternoon. Our artists spent a season pursuing that light: the burnt-earth pigment of raw sienna, ground the way fresco artisans once ground it, drawn across porcelain in a single breath so the mineral settles like smoke under glass.
Every set is crafted by one artisan from beginning to end. The tortoise is built in seven translucent glazes, each cured before the next, until the surface carries true depth — not the image of amber, but its behaviour in light. The gold crescent is sculpted freehand in gilding wax; its ridges are the record of a single stroke that is never repeated exactly. This is why no two sets of Sienna Veil are ever alike.
To wear it is to carry a small, private hour of amber light — a veil between you and the ordinary day.
