The Story
The hand,
as a parcel
A wrapped box has three parts, and so does every tip here: the paper, the string and the bow. The paper is a white band pressed at the edge while it is soft and printed with hearts small enough to read as texture from arm's length. The strings are laid in two passes at right angles, the second waiting for the first to set so that the crossing stays square. The bow is tied wet — one ribbon of resin, pinched twice and cured hard — which is why no two of them sit at quite the same angle.
The coffret holds thirty tips across a wide spread of widths, so that the parcel fits the hand rather than the hand adjusting to the parcel. Choose your ten — all bows if you are feeling loud, all paper if you are not — and keep the rest. Twenty spare tips is a present that is already wrapped: somebody always wants the bow you decided against.
Everything here is meant to be given away, including the parts you keep.
