The Story
Two pours,
one soft join
The temptation with a two-tone nail is to blend the middle until it disappears. The atelier does the opposite. The apricot is laid first and cured only halfway, then the blue is floated up to meet it, and the two are nudged together for a few seconds before the lamp goes on. What is left is a join with a slight cloudiness in it — the same thing that happens in a glass when a cordial has not been stirred, and the reason the tip reads as liquid rather than opaque colour.
Thirty tips come in the box. Ten go onto your hands; the other twenty are the reason those ten fit. The set runs through a generous ladder of widths, so you hold the tray against your own nails and take the exact one for each finger rather than the closest one. Twenty left over is a second wearing, or a small gift — a spritz is better ordered in twos in any case.
Poured for two, sized for everyone.
