The Story
Sediment,
settled by hand
Gold flake is usually sprinkled and sealed. Ours is placed. Each torn flake is lifted on a static tool and laid where it would have settled if the surface were liquid — heavier pieces low near the cuticle, lighter ones drifting toward the middle, nothing at the free edge. The eye cannot name the rule but it recognises the physics.
The mocha itself is a cat-eye pulled with a low magnet so the seam is broad and soft rather than a hard stripe, and it is cured over a warm nude that keeps the depth from going grey. The pearls are graded to the nail: smaller stones on smaller tips, so the proportion holds across the hand rather than shouting on the little finger.
Place the flake where gravity would have left it.
