The Story
Piped like sugar,
worn like porcelain
The idea arrived in a Kyoto café, watching a pastry chef pipe buttercream rosettes with a steadiness close to meditation. Our artisans borrowed the gesture entirely: thickened white gel loaded into the finest tip we could source, pressure eased at the end of each petal so it lifts and curls exactly as icing does. What sugar loses in a day, resin keeps for weeks.
Underneath, the rose-cream base is blended wet-into-wet so the colour holds a flush rather than a flat tone — the warmth of skin, not the coolness of an opaque coating. Butter-yellow centres are dotted twice, dark then light, to give each bloom a direction of light, and a true seed pearl is bedded into the final coat. Count the petals across a set; no two flowers repeat.
Sweetness, taken seriously — that is its own kind of luxury.
