The Story
A field, and
one mark on it
The base is a cat-eye pearl mixed warm, so it goes rose under lamplight and taupe by day. It is laid in two coats and left flat — no glitter, no shift, nothing to compete with. Onto that the atelier draws a single gold hairline with a brush of six hairs, in one unbroken pass, because a line that is stopped and restarted keeps its join forever. The stone is set last, pressed into a bead of clear so that it stands slightly proud, the way a signet stone stands above its band.
The coffret holds thirty tips, which is three times what a hand needs, and that is the whole idea. They run through a wide ladder of widths, so instead of accepting the nearest fit you choose the exact one, finger by finger. The remaining twenty become the next set — or they get divided, because a box of thirty is one of the few beautiful objects that is genuinely easy to share.
One mark, one clear field, and twenty tips left for somebody else's hands.
